I have an Hp designjet 5500, and a designjet 1050c plotter for our office. Is there a software i can buy so that before we plot any drawings we have to put in a project number so that it can be billed appropriatley, instead of logging every plot me make. We have a system like this on our sharp printer, where when you print it requires a project number. if there is any software like these for these printers please let me know, thank you.

I haven't seen something like that... I have a DesignJet 500 and AutoCad and CorelDraw.

However, if you're logging your print jobs, and you've got descriptive names on your documents, then you could easily export the system log, and sort it. The system log details include who printed and the name of the document.

That wouldn't be hard.....
