For general discusion. I had to explode some plines so they would plot from VoloView Exp. 2. In turn when I had windowed the entire dwg. I had discovered that attributes were being utilized in this file. AutoCad does not have a variable to control the explosion of blocks with attributes, does it? We are not an attribute oriented group. We prefer using layer conventions or EED over attributes. If you explode a block by mistake and you do not catch it you have lost those attribute values.

I would say yes you lose the attribute values using AutoCAD's 'explode'. There is a command provided by Express Tools called 'burst' that explodes a block retains the attributes (or actually converts them to regular text).

I was wondering, what is the problem with printing polylines? Normally, they are not a problem to print.

I had to explode and move the plines to a 0 elevation to get them to plot from VoloView Xpress 2. Could it have something to do with the layout?
