An aggregate is automatically created with a single plex consisting of one or more raid groups. An aggregate will have a single plex unless it is a syncmirror aggregate, in which case there will be two plexes.
Data within a flexible volume will be striped (usually evenly) across the disks in the raid groups of the aggregate.
