Don't know if this is possible, I have a report which runs a very large query, so when you enter in parameters that you want the report to fufill it then brings back the data that was requested by the query. The problem with this is that it can take 10 - 20 seconds for the report to show, simply cause of the amount of data it has to go through. My problem is our users here are very impatient and think that it isn't running and start shutting the program etc. Is there a way that you can get a please wait box or icon to show while it is processing??????

Thanks in advance.

If you are invoking this from code, such as VB you could.

When running from Crystal the mouse pointer should change (standard Windows busy indicator) and the record count will show as the query returns results.

You might try creating a Stored Procedure from the query to speed it up.

If you dropped down part of the inquiry to be a Subreport, it ought to bring back something and prove that the inquiry was working. The overall process might well take longer, since subreports are slow. But users could be looking at what they had while the rest was being accumulated.
