I restored a BCM 200 back with it's 3.6 data, after replacing the HD and installing matching patches. After teh restore the system is working perfectly. However whenever I select "BRU" from the main screen, I get this message.

"The BCM version has been restored from a previous restore.
Please verify the BCM version."

I can't find out anything about verifying the BCM version. "BRU" backup works fine locally and to a remote. Has anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks acewarlock, at least I won't be looking for explosions every other day.

Did you use normal discussing Nortel?
I would really love to get rid of it as it nags me.

I thought to confirm the version at the top of the restore window you will see a BCM version compare if you run this it will take the message away.

I will try your suggestion and report back.

This is being done after the restoration. I went to backup and cannot get to where I see a version compare. The restore window does have a choice to only backup if versions match or to force a backup.

Thanks, I will keep looking.

Thanks, spotted it. It seems to be for use only when restoring. The BCM has already been restored so I don't see a way to run a comparison.

The only thing that comes to mind is to do a fresh backup and a new restore.

P.S. I am sending a star so that I do not make the same mistake again.
