Thanks to you guys I made my first movie. A really simple one. An introduction on my church's website.

Could you take a look at it and give some input ... good or bad?

Go to then click "View Our Introduction"

In particular, the pics load slow the first time thru. (They're saved as .jpg at 50% compressed.

Thanks.

Have you typed the link correctly or is your site down for maintenance?

add a pre-loader to the intro..to long to wait..besides that looks good..

Hey it looks great, but I would like to hear some music or something with it. The visuals are very good though.

Thanks everyone...

Virt2001... how long did it take to load on yours. Here at work and on my 56k at home it only takes a few seconds

seemed like a crappy server or something..might wana look into that..for what it was i don't see how it took so long..even the first page with the "goto site or see intro" even took a while to load..maybe there pushing no power on the server side..

It took ages to load at my office and we are on a very quick connection too. What is the size of the swf?

John

According to FP, the opening page should take 2 seconds.. to load. The movie should take 25 second.... according to FP.

But I've tried it on diffrently computers here at work the movie comes up within 10 seconds.

What could cause the difference in time between your computers and mine?

Scrap FP if you can, and simply use Flash's Publish feature.

Speed was good on my machine, my only complaint is when I clicked the intro link, it opened up in a new browser window, and then I had two windows with the same links. That's just a pet peeve of mine, though. It came up instantly for me. And the .jpg's looked fine.

Strange, Ive tried yto look at this on a few occasions now but I get the initial page and then when I click the intro link it doesnt load and, Im talking about a minute before I go and do something else? I cant understand it as all other flash content on other sites loads in a Flash (excuse the pun!)

John

Hmmm.. the .swf is 140KB... is that big for a movie?

Told you to scrap FrontPage and use the Flash Publish feature.
You only have an <embed> tag - no <object> tag!- on top of which you're using divisions and layers.
You are looking for trouble!
