I ran this hiijackthis scan on one of the machines here at the office and here is the log. There were a few adware alerts that popped up in a norton scan that it could not get rid of. Does anybody see anything malicious in this list? Thanks in advance.

Hi!

You need to remove the following:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe

O4 - Global Startup: hp center.lnk = C:\Program Files\hp center\137903\Program\BackWeb-137903.exe

You may also want to visit Webroot Spysweeper and hit it with that too:

This is a trial, but will fully function for what you need to do.

Update it and then do a sweep.

Also do the following:

Hope this helps,

Erik

Thanks for looking over the log. Any other pair of eyes are also welcome [smile]

Check and fix this as well

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)

Also suggest emptying both temp folders. Locations are as follow but before proceeding ensure hidden files and folders are showing.

C, documents and settings, account name, local settings, temp , delete everything you can in here some things wont delete because windows is using them at the current moment. Just delete what you can. Follow that link for each account on the computer.

C, windows or winnt, temp (delete everything you can in this folder)
