Please, have a look on that page

Suggestions are needed because I m still trying to make up my mind on colors and layout display.

Thanks for your time!

Taking the colours from your H2 css:
Code:
background-color:#c2c7d1;
color:#384769;
I put them through the colour contrast and difference tests at (full details on this at that page). I didn't do any other colour checks for other styles.

The colours (in the H2 style at least) are considered too similar (whilst the contrast is fine) to be suitable for accessibility checks. Personally, I like the colour choices in general.

The site layout generally scales well (in FF on Windows at least).

Maybe add some emphasis on the top navigation links (that sit horizontally on the page)... make them look a little more like something the user should click on.

Excellent job on clean html implementing a pleasant design.

Cheers,
Jeff

I like the colour choices. The only thing I'd change is the side menu hover - I'd make the orange bar and text both go to white-on-blue, rather than blue-on-white.

I'd find that changing row of images fairly distracting when trying to read the text (if I could read the text!). Maybe have it show the pictures for a longer time before fading to the next set. When you get beyond the front page - where people will want to concentrate on the details of the trips - you should drop the animation altogether.

I don't know whether the top menu needs extra treatment - it depends what those links point to. Maybe they're intended to be unobtrusive.

I thank both of you for your valuable thoughts.

Do you think that a travel site needs to be more colored, a bit fancier? Is this site too formal?
I got that kind of suggestions from some Greek colleagues of mine and since I m mew in the web businesses I m so frustrated…

Thanks again…

The photos imply that they do lots of city breaks, rather than slobbing about beach/villa holidays - so the formal tone may be more appropriate. The critical question is what image the client wants to project about themselves. I think this image is pretty good.

1. The cross-fades are way too fast. In my opinion, you should be able to view the images at least for 5 seconds. Also the fade in fade out is too fast.
2. Colors are nice but more appropriate for an insurance agency or Law firm.
3. My suggestions for color are: background:# 525252 (grey) side bar (instead of blue) # C9CF49 (apple green). text for menu and "S" #3284D4D or # 3CE2D79
4. I sort of didn't like that the top blue bar ended abruptly just in the middle of the page. It visually brakes the page up.
