Hi,
We're working on redesigning my company's site, and I've done a couple of templates for the different sections. They're still just big jpg's, which aren't sliced or anything. The first one is at
By clicking on that template, you go to the next one, and by clicking on that, you go to the third one. The third one then brings you back to the first.
We've generally decided that we like how the photos, text, nav, etc. are laid out. What we don't really know is the following:
1. What color scheme to use. I designed the first one in blue/gray, but we decided we wanted to use a different color scheme for each section (portfolio, services, etc.). What do you think of the blue and red ones? Is there a way we could incorporate the blue/gray one, or does it just have to be scrapped? Or, should we just stick to having the whole site in blue/gray?
2. What do with the right side of the page. I haven't decided, either, so that's why it just ends kind of jagged. I was thinking of making the criss-crossing image pattern a background image in that part of the table, so it just repeats off the side of the page. Do you think that would be too distracting?
3. Does it look too much like other sites? What we're really going for with this redesign is to have something that looks new and fresh and is not just a cookie cutter copy of everybody else's site. At the same time, we really liked the following sites, and they were a lot of our inspiration:
(I didn't have any dummy text to use, so I just copy two paragraphs off of Blast Radius's sites for our text (to any BR people out there, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery . We'll have our own after working a bit more with the copy writer.
4. Other comments in general.
Thanks!
Misty
