I have been getting a fatal error saying: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 3600f71dh.
This happens each time i start up and try and bring up a file. Im using Microsoft XP....any suggestions?

How are you opening the drawing? Do you click on it in explorer or do you start AutoCAD and then open and browse for the drawing?

I try to open the drawing after opening up AutoCad

I had already tried that and no luck, it still came up with the same error message. Im kinda thinking I might have to reinstall it to see if that works....?

it happens when trying to open any file, in any way...?

also...he can open the drawings no problem in 2004 version but he prefers using the 2002LT version, so I think his rights through XP should be fine. Another thing I was thinking is that all the drawings are saved on another drive on our server, so maybe an app running on that drive might be causing problems, but then again it still works through 2004 version?...what do you think.

Oh, that is a little bit more info. We have big issues with using AutoCAD Mechanical 6 (AutoCAD 2002) and receiving files created in AutoCAD 2004 Mechanical. Even when they are saved to 2000 is causes them to crash Mechanical6. What we have to do is (starting the dwg in ACAD2004) WBLOCK the drawing out, then reopen it and then save it to 2000. We have contacted Autodesk about the issue, but there answer is that we should upgrade to 2004 across the board and then the issue would go away. Nice.
