Please Help With TV Tuner Card Sound Issue

Hello: I have a Kworld TV Studio TV Terminator card with a MSI K8MM Series motherboard. I have my cable television cable hooked to it. I can receive picture but no sound. Everything seems hooked up correctly and I have tried all of the settings I could find in the configuration of the board. But, no sound. Does anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate the assistance. Thanks.

ATI AIW cards route the sound through the sound card. I don't know what yours does. Also, wherever the sound is routed to, be sure that source is not disabled in the sound card play control.

There are so many variables with these things its a bit tricky. You have to follow the manual and do exactly as it says or it wont work. If you dont have a manual maybe you can get on the the mfgr website.
What kiddpete said above is important. Go to volume control and play around with the sliders there and make sure nothing is muted. You could even try muting each one at a time.
Check the connections on your speakers, make sure they are turned on and the power source is plugged in, if there is one.
If you keep working at it you will get it working. I have had quite a few of these, thats why i know its hard to advise you as they can have different install routines.
I really dont know about the one you have.

I'd be interested to hear how this turned out. Have an identical problem with a Pinnacle TV stereo card. Great picture but no sound. All drivers up to date, running XP sp1. Tried internal sound cable, external cable etc. Pinnacle support have been less than helpful. Numerous similar problems when looking on google for this card.
