Thanks to all who are taking the time to help me..
I am looking for a way to design a gradient mask over an imported flash movie.
I have made a static photoshop illustration of the effect I am trying to achieve. This graphic is of a cd-interface I am trying to make.
as illustrated, the thumbnails on the right are going to scroll up and down, and as they reach the top and bottom, they should fade to nothing. I could do the required masking in flash, but it would not be nicely gradiated. So I was planning on making the thumbnail scroller in flash and importing it into director, but I still can't seem to mask it desirably in director either. Am I going about the whole thing the wrong way. Any solutions or construction alternatives would be appreciated.
