Hello there,

I need some help. Under windows 95 I am able to move a email message into a folder. When I move the same email message into the same folder, windows will automatically rename the email with a (#) extension.

Now in 98 when I move the email message into the folder it ask me if I want to replace the file with the current version.

How can I make it rename the file with the (#) extension under Windows 98?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure of a way to code that. You could just copy into a seperate folder, rename with the # extension, and then copy into the original destination folder.

It'd work ok if you weren't dealing with thousands of emails.

I remember the day the candle shop burned down; Everyone just stood around, and sang happy birthday.
