My platform is solaris8 sparc
I am trying to setup a imap server using cyrus with cyrus-sasl, I download the pakege and gunzip untar, then run the configure script and the make, make install,
But having a problem with loging in I tried using saslpasswd but did not work I also tried using shadow by making a file in /etc/imapd.conf
This are the options in my file
--------------------
configdirectory: /var/imap
partition-default: /var/spool/imap
admins: root cyrus
sendmail: /usr/lib/sendmail
allowanonymouslogin: no
sasl_passwd_check: shadow
--------------------
when I change sasl_passwd_check: to sasldb it also dosent work
my question is did any one successfully compiled cyrus on solaris if yes what flags should I give for the configure script from cyrus-sasl and for cyrus
and what steps should I do to setup the accounts mailbox etc.
I am using sendmail for my incoming mail
Version = cyrus-imapd-2.1.11
Version = cyrus-sasl-2.1.10
Any help is greatly appreciated
