i reacently purchased adobe illustrator. i have been using photo shop for a while. in photo in your tools u can right-click on them and bring up other tools. in illustrator u cannot. i know there are other tools because i can access some of them through keyboard short-cuts but there are some i can not get to at all some one please help me

PLease help with adobe illustrator

Click and hold the mouse on any tool with a tiny arrow in the icon (i.e. the rectangle tool, direct-select tool) and additional tools will shoot out. All the way on the right end of the tools will be a little box with an arrow, slide your mouse on it and it will tear off the tools in expanded form. Or, just slide onto the tool you need and the icon will change.
