a few days ago i was editing a 300MB wav file using a program called wavepad . I needed to shut down the app to free up some ram. it asked me if i wanted to save changes, i said yes and it started to proceed very very slowly.
I decided that i didn't want to wait that long and it would be better to lose the small edits i had made and revert to the original. so i clicked cancel and wavepad imediately closed down - i am thinking it may have crashed or it may be a bug.
later i realized that the 300MB file was now only 65MB and it seems it has overwritten the original file with the same filename and i have lost most of the file.
I am trying to recover the file without much success - i would be most grateful for any help.
