I need help from you for implementing the following features. I have a Meridian 11c.

1.If a user is busy on phone and someone calls up, he will get a busy tone on the extension. In this case the caller should press some code so that he starts listening to the hold music and he gets connected to the user as soon as he finishes his conversation.

2.If anyone calls a user and if user is busy, in this case the caller will go to the voice mail. At this point a customised prompt will be played. Now at this point the caller should have the facility to hold the call if he don't want to leave the voice message in the voice mail box. Also at this point of time the user should hear a beep tone so that the user knows that there is a call holding for him and he can toggle between the calls and talk to both parties.Presently he has the option
A. call will go to the voicemail box and he can leave a
voice message.
B. dial "0" and the call will land at the operator
C. dial "*0 + ext number" so that the user can go to any
other extension number

I need to implement the feature in both digital(3904) and analog(500) phones.

3.If the operator on Meridian Console wants to transfer a call to the user who is busy on the line. She should be able to transfer the call to the busy line so that the call is in queue for the user and the user can attend the call after disconnecting his first call. When the user is busy he should also get some indication eg, beep tone , so that he knows that there is a call in queue for him and he can take the call when he finishes with the first caller.

4.If a caller put the Ring Back to a extension which is busy, the user who is busy on call should get a beep tone which tells the user that someone has put Ring Back on his extension.

Do you have the Nortel manuals for the 11C? You're going to have to build an ACD and build phones as position IDs on an ACD. Check out LD 23 of the X11 input/output guide and the ACD reference guide. You'll also need some sort of auto attendant or IVR. Do you have Meridian Mail? Meridian Mail has auto attendant features. What you're looking to do isn't too difficult but there is a bit of programming involved. Plus, you should draw flow charts for your auto attendant/IVR menus before building them. Actually, you should flow chart your entire call handling scheme before you start programming.

A Flowchart, ACD ques, ACD agents, classes of service and several cups of coffee . . . you'll be fine. Good, Fast, Cheap . . . Pick Two
