Hello there...
I have a database which I want to make it a single standalone db with onl execute or read permissions.
Is there any way so that i can execute it from cd without having Access 2000 on PC ( My boss wants it this way)
any ideas please...really appreciate it..

Hi!

If you purchase the Access Developer's Toolkit, you will get a copy of Access Runtime which will run the Db. Other than that you will need Access on the PC to run it. Access databases can't be made into executables. Maybe you could try a VB front end which just links to the database, but I think you need Runtime or Access for that to work too. But I am not sure because I have never tried without one of those programs.

You can use VB to create your program and there is a runtime program that will access your database without Access 2000 being loaded. The runtime is free and comes with VB.
