Please Help on color coding categories

I'm having some problems with color coded categories. I have been color coding my bosses email so that he knows what email is important and what email can wait. I have changed his categories and colors to match mind. But when I send him a email with a colored categorie it doesn't match the colors. It's seems like the primary colors take over. Can anyone help me with this because he want's me to change everyone in the company to the same categories and colors.

Have you mentioned to your boss that as soon as you set up a priority system, everybody will classify what they send as highest priority? I've seen this happen time and time again... Takes about 2 months to render the system moot.
