Hello everyone;
I am getting the message No syslog files were found to upload to database under Console\view log after I do summarize now. In any reports I try to view, it says no data available.
here's my info:
Unit Node: OUR Sonic wall Info
Model: SonicWALL PRO 2040
Serial Number: 0006B1388DA8
Firmware Version: SonicOS Standard 3.1.0.7-77s
SonicWALL IP: 192.168.37.2
Time Zone: Central Time (US & Canada)
ViewPoint: Licensed
Syslog Format: Default
Status Messages Only: No
Logs in UTC: Yes
Viewpoint Mode Enabled: Yes
Name Resolution Mode: DNS
Access Mode: HTTP
I installed viewpoint 4.1 on a win2003 standard server.
Windows firewall is off
Now I just discovered that the "SNWL ViewPoint Syslog Collector" had not started, so I started it, but I still get this message in the log:
"Raw syslog file upload completed. No syslog files were found to upload to database."
I have been searching these forums and I find lots of other posts with the same problems, and no final answers for alot of people, like this one:
Can anyone help me out with what I might be missing in my configuration?
Do I have to wait since I just started the "SNWL ViewPoint Syslog Collector" service even though I do summerize now?
Please help me and thanks for any help,
Maureen
