***PLEASE HELP*** Missing Guids and Margins! PLEASE!

When I opened up my file it opened without any of the usual showing grids and margins. I have no visible page margins to guide me. I have tried everything but to no avail. Please if someone knows how to help I would appreciate it. Jamie

If you tried everything then we could not suggest that you toggle display modes under the view menu.

You're in preview mode. Look at the 2 little boxes at the very bottom of the Tools pallette.  The one on the laft is Normal (boxes).  The one on the right is Preview (what you want). It's easy to switch between the 2 as necessary.  

The right one has a fly out for selection of bleed and slug as well as preview, so make sure preview is activ

Also can use "command ;" for margins and "command '" for grid
