You can look in the email header to find out from which Server this email was sent.
But most users of the internet do not have a fix IP address, but the address is assigned by DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) during the login into ISP.
Therefore the IP-Address will not help you to much.

if you have an issue with email, sending a mail to postmaster@HisISP is more likely to help resolve it I love everyone til they prove otherwise, sadly some prove otherwise SO quickly
