Hi,

I wanted to make Access 2003 search in a faster way.

I have found this software call AZZ cardfile from the internet and it is very small and fast. It has a left panel with a text box for search expression and once you type something it will search straight away and display the results.

Example: If I type John on the left panel box. The right panel will appear:

John G.
Johnny L.
Kelly. John's wife

It will search instantly as I type... very fast.

May I know if Access can do this?

Thanks.

AzzCardfile appears to be a VB application, which means it essentially can be duplicated in Access using VBA. I think what you need to understand, though, is that the AZZ files only have two fields, which, I suspect, is the reason that searching is so fast. Also, if you're citing response/search times using the pre-loaded files in the AZZ demos, I suspect that they're also rather few in number, which would also result in a speedy response time.

Thanks for the reply.

I am not very good in Access as I am only a end user but would put sometime into it if I have some guide...

Any example to view or download for testing?
