Please help me install the uw7.1 !!! (on my laptop) 1

I am trying to install the uw7.1 on my acer travelmate 313T.
The problem is that my cdrom reader is broken (have no 200 bucks for a new one), i tried ordering a lan card, and the italian mail system lost it.
Now i am in west virginia on vacation, and i copied the 1st cd to a fat partition on my hd.

Now: when i boot for the installation, it prompts me to configure a lan card!!!!!

So i cannot use it, because of obvious reasons....

Please give me some advice, or anything....
How do i work around this stupid problem?

Hola , GOOD thing to do on vacations ah?

Well it is hard to say but UnixWare 7 only gives you the option to install from

CDROM
TAPE BACKUP
TCP/IP
IPX/SPX

If you want to install from the TCP/IP you need a Uw7 network instal card supported for that , you can look for which cards are supported in your release notes.

Other thing to do is look for a friend with a cdrom or just have fun on your vacations and install the uw7 when you return home.
