Hi, i have just completed a large brochure for a very important client, I have just loaded it up and this errore message came up

"This document doeas not have an embedded RGB profile
How do you want to proceed?
- leave as is(use current working space)
- assign current working space: adobe RGB (1998)
- assign profile"

This is my first brochure have i done something wrong? what should i do? and what workspace should i be assigned to? This is going to the printers tommorrow. a little worried.

Just to let you know its a 2 spot pantone colour brochure and im working in CS

Thanks for any help

Please put my mind at rest

Thanks Ben

You probably had the color selector set to RGB when you selected the colors.

It should be set to CYMK even though you are not using process colors. RGB is for monitors only.

As far as the printing goes you don't have to worry since the colors in your brochure are completely controlled by the ink the printer puts in the press. This would not be true if you were printing four-color process.

As far as the printer is concerned the art work could be two separated black and white images.

Just to be sure there is no mistake give him a spec sheet that specifies the colors as well as the Indesign files.

Mike

PS.

Make sure that you select the colors from an ink book and then specify these colors in Indesign don't just go by the colors you see on your monitor.

Why are you using any color images if ...
its a 2 spot pantone colour brochure
?

Your images should be bitmap, grayscale or duotone - not RGB or CMYK.
