Please, help
I would like to start using Perl...
What the best way to set it up.
(what do i need to install...
I have windows 2000 OS.

Thanks
Vladimir

Go to Select the download link in the lower right section of the page
to download 'activePerl'.
Fill out the registration stuff and download your msi.

Double-click the msi and answer the typical windows installer
questions.

From a command prompt,
c:\perl -v [enter]

That should produce the version information for your newly installed
Perl. 'hope this helps

Hi Vladimir,
Books might be an idea also

O'Reilly's "Camel" books

Programming Perl - Wall, Christiansen & Schwartz
ISBN 1-56592-149-6

Perl Cookbook - Christiansen & Torkington
ISBN 1-56592-243-3

Any other good books out there ?...
