Hi All, here is what happent. Server Netware 5.1, sp4 compaq Proliant.
Users were not able to connect to the server, found out that DNS was stopped, NDPS was not working, Called Novell and the Tech said the DS database was corrupted.
his solution was to delete the replica on that server which implicated to delete the server from the tree, deleted the VOLUMES and also delete the licences container. He was able to put the replica from the master replica, synchronized with all the server with no problem, after doing so the server was up and running but the DNS still is not, error -328 appears on the console and when I try to load ndpsm I got an error, "the ndps manager's database resides on the volune 'unknown'. the database for ndps is not on this file server or....." but the data base was on the server before.
when a user login won't map all the drives like home directory and others, the tech said tha we need to reinstall the licences.
I know this is a long post but this is what really happent.
can somebody give me a clue of what happent before I call Novell again?.
thanks.
