Hi Everyone,

I am having an issue creating an auto increment column in my table. I am planning to use that column as the Primary Key. I am using Powerbuilder 9.0. I don't see "auto increment" as one of the datatype while creating the table. I have used "autonumber" before on MS Access.

Can someone please help me how to creat auto increment primary key.

Thanks in advance.

I don't use the PB database tools, but I believe you're looking for a uniqueidentifier data type.

I believe it has to do with the DBMS that you are using and not PowerBuilder. (e.g. Sybase ASE 12.5 does not support autoincrement)

Hi Push,

This can not be done using PB but do it using database utilities and while designing dw to add/update/delete records, select column as identity column in properties of datawindow.

Regards,
Abhijit.
