Hi

I have now run out of ideas.
We run CR9 Adv and CE9 Std - in a testing environment

I have a report (with LOADS of sub-reports) on the web enabled crystal server. If I run this report using CR 9 it displays and prints 100%. When I try and do the same via CE 9 Std one of the sub-reports (horizontal bar chart) the bottom half of the chart does not display or print! It is not as if half the page is missing, as the chart key and border of the which is on the bottom of the page still display and print!
Solutions tried:
1) I have spent a whole day looking at printer drivers only to come to the conclusion that we use EXACTLY the same driver on the client's machine, as we do on the server. (Note that I have used both the Client machine and the server to try the report via CE 9 Std (eProfile) so I cannot see how the driver will play a role)
2) I tried changing the viewer and both HTML and ActiveX gives me the same error
3) I spoke to Crystal Decisions tech support and they suggested I install all the following patches & Hot fixes:
cr90actxwin_en.zip, cr90dbexwin_en.zip, cr90mainwin_en.zip, ce90actxwin_en.zip, ce90apswin_en.zip, ce90comwin_en.zip, ce90dbexwin_en.zip, ce90jcewin_en.zip, ce90sdkwin_en.zip, ceservwin_en.zip, cewcswin_en.zip - no luck!
4) I ran the sub-report as an stand alone report - still the same

As you can imagine I am now really ready for the coming weekend after this all...but in the mean time - does anyone out there have a suggested solution?

Hello Eo.

First, let me just say that we are at the VERY beginning of implementing CE 9 Professional. However, in our testing... one of my co-workers discovered that the default printer settings weren't carrying over to CE. I can't remember where he found this tidbit, but it boiled down to us changing the account under which the CE servers run. By default, they run under the LocalSystem account. We changed these to run under a valid NT user account (we have a generic Crystal account on NT that we've used for other things). Having CE running under this account, along with that printer set up on the server, everything formatted just fine.

Not sure if that will help, but couldn't hurt to try? Best of luck to you!

G.

(To change, use the Crystal Configuration Manager / stop the server / go to properties to change the log on info)
