Please Help!! Alteon ISD 100 SSL Offloader Problem

I have an Alteon AD3 Web Switch with WebOS 10 software and an Alteon ISD 100 SSL Offloader version 1. Both are currently set to factory defaults. I am trying to do the initial setup of the ISD 100. The installation manual states that you simply connect the ISD 100 to the Web Switch via straight-through RJ-45 connector and access the ISD menu system using the Web Switch's command line interface. The problem is that the ISD menu system does not show up through the Web Switch CLI! I tried to contact Nortel Networks, but they want me to spend a minimum of $600 for a support contract to get the answer. It is very frustating to me. I just want to access the ISD menu system so I can configure the unit.

Can anyone help me?!?

According to the documentation there are two menu selections in the WebOS software that reveal the ISD menu system ("info" and "cfg&quot. Neither of these do, in my case. As well, I have combed through the entire WebOS menu system and have come up empty. I am sure this is a simple problem. Please Help!

Hello!

WebOS 9.0 is the latest release that support the iSD-SSL 100.

I started working with the Alteon product 3 years ago. I have never used the version 1 code. I started with version 2.0.

Then I had to configure the SSL as a unit it self. I did not configure any SSL on the Web Switch then.

The latest SSL code for the iSD-SSL 100 out now, is version 3.1.6.4.

I would recommend you to upgrade your SSL to version 2.0, 3.0 or 3.1 to make configuration much easier.

About the Web Switch, the latest version out today, is 10.0.28.12.
