please help.. accessing Cognos transformer models

Hi,

I'm a Congos Transformer beginner.
I'd like to know if there is a way of accessing Cognos Transformer models outside the Cognos environment?

Through a VB interface, I need to modify the model and execute it. I'm thinking of using batch files along with the VB interface, but could not find any help topics on this area. Maybe I was searching for the wrong words? I couldn't even find the syntax for the batch files in the Cognos help.

Please help and suggest ways of accessing the .mdl files.

How much access do you want? There are various command-line options under transfrmr.exe, to enable you to build cubes etc. Try looking up 'command line options' in the documentation. If you want to actually build a Transformer model what about a Transformer macro script (VB) using the Cognos object model? You'd still have to have access to Transformer to execute it though.
