Please help a beginner 1

I am just starting Quark Xpress and as someone who has a web background (as opposed to print) am finding it hard to get to grips with.
A very simple question, but I can not, for the life of me, work it out.
Have created a shape with the Bezier tool, but how do you add colour to the inside? Am I missing something here, as I feel like I have tried everything. It appears Quark only lets you add a fill colour to boxes.

Are you using the bezier line tool, or the bezier picture box tool? You can only fill picture/text boxes, unfortunately. Quark isn't really designed for doing much drawing, so it's tools tend to behave a little differently.
