OS
Service pack level
Desktop manager level
firemware level
blackberry device model
BES 3 or 4?
Service packs on the BES
Exchange server levels
outlook levels..

Are there 'About' screens we can check this at? I can't even figure out what model BlackBerry I've been given, let alone by browser version number.

yes of course:

on a BB Go to options -> about

on a BES..when you open u the manager a splash screen says 4.0. or you can go to help
