Hi all.

I have recently been laid off from my day job so I have seized the opportunity to push my part time web design business as a main source of income.

As part of this 'push' I have redesigned and redeployed the website for my business. The url is:

Please could you let me have you comments/thoughts on the site.

Thanks & best wishes.

1) There's quite a few validation errors on each page of the site (it looks as though only your home page validates).

2) The site is full of tables and doesn't make much use of CSS (there seems to be lots of font tags and attributes setting styles).

3) Your email address is on the contact page even though you've created a contact form - you may want to remove or disguise it to minimize spam.

Apart from those points, it's quite easy to navigate and read and it scales well to different screen and text sizes.

It is quite "basic" looking but that may be your intention judging by the company name!

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the views.

I anticipated the feedback re tables & font tags. I plan to remedy this in due course. In the few weeks since I relaunched my CSS layout skills have come on in leaps so will review the code in due course.

By "basic" do you mean a lack of content or lack of features (or both!)

Sorry, I actually meant that the look of the site (rather than any lack of content or features) seemed fairly "simple" in it's design (that's not a critisism, it's just the feeling I got when I looked at the sited as I said before, that may have been your intention).

No problem. Don't worry, I know what you mean.

I like the look and the mail was sent (I think).

Did you send a mail via the form?

Like the others say, the nice clean look that the name "websimple" suggests. Good work there. A bit hairy under the hood, but you're aware of that.

You could move your Javascript menu code into a seperate file, rather than having it coded into each page, that way it'll cache and subsequent pages will load faster. You might consider using a more advanced script such as , though the one you have seems to work OK.

You can style a <ul> into what appears to be a | seperated list by using borders and CSS. Look at the links near the top of for example.

The wording of the footer looks, at first glance, like a string of keywords. I realise that, essentially, it is, but with work it could be made a bit more human-readable too.

There are a few inconsistencies in the site content. The two sites mentioned in the testimonials don't appear in your portfolio. Also, you say on the "About Websimple" page that you don't provide hosting, on the pricing page you're charging for it. Do you or don't you?
