No. You may be 100% genuine but I don't go opening links to mysterious doc files on the internet, that's the way to get worms. Use the upload image options or cut and paste the text.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

R10 upgrades need to be done using the License migration tool in the R10 Manager. There is no upgrade license that I'm aware of for R10.

Hi sizbut

Sorry about that but I used the uplink image link above to load that.
I thought it was safe.
I don't know how you guys show the picture in the post directly.

Scudworth.
Thanks for the reply

Yes the licence migration tool was used to get the quote for the new licence.

As its new to me I was trying to see which part of the upgrade licence it may look like.

Cheers. Sorry to have been picky but it was showing a link to a docx file rather than a picture, maybe a tech-tips bug.

The PLDS files I've seen for Release 10 start with a line something like <version>10</version> as the whole file is effectively the upgrade license itself.

That's ok ..I did save the file as a docx file on my laptop.

Yes that is what is showing...ok so now I know what the upgrade file is like .

When you are use to adi files and can actually see the upgrade licence.

This takes a bit of getting use to.
I was expecting to see .upgrade to release 10

I was able to see the AV endpoint licences, reception console , VCM ports, etc

I am starting to understand the concept of the file now..

Thanks for the help.

Hopefully that means its a valid set of licenses for taking your system to Release 10. I've just read the Upgrade Licenses section of the IP Office Solution Description and my head hurts. It implies that there are separate upgrade licenses for every single license - fortunately not what I've encountered on any of my systems yet.

I saw the same thing and had the same reaction; I am not opening that.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

As sizbut mentioned there is a Version part in the PLDS, this tells you which version the license is for.
Also as suspected I saw that 10.1 will work with the version 10 license, although when 10.1 is release there will be no more SPs for 10.0.
