Heelo,

I was upgrading to 11.0 from 8.1.73. After the upgrade, I try to upload the PLDS license and I get the following error message "http request failed 401 unauthorized" Any thoughts?

Set fileserver ip address to 0.0.0.0 or 255.255.255.255 and try again.

Thanks for the reply. I tried 0.0.0.0 and 255.255.255.255 and it didn't work. I still get the same message. http request failed: 401 Unauthorized.

Reset security settings, which is necessery when upgrading from below 9.1 to 10+.

Perfect. That worked. Thank you so much!!!

Faced same problem when upgrading from R7 to R11 (intermediate upg stage to R9). I checked Security Service User (used to upload license) Right Group Membership - find out that Business Partner was missing. After adding it problem was solved. Simple Security settings reset was not acceptable because many defined Service Users exists.

Great,
This with adding "Business Partner" in Administrator service user in Security settings has resolved the problem.
Thank You

Our typical proceedure includes creating individual service users for each tech with every possible role checked and deleting the 'standard' accounts. This solves the 401 errors and makes for a better audit trail.
