I have had the following request from our Marketing department

We would like a system where there are 8 different voice messages played over music. Each message will be different and will last as long as we want it to. Each time the customer is put on hold the message will start from the beginning. A new message will play every time the customer is put on hold, so it is unlikely the customer will hear all the messages.

Our Marketing Dept have been in touch with a external company who told them about a device called the USB 1100 that could provide such a facility. Has anybody used/intergrated one of these into their Avaya Estate? What was the experience?

Alternatively, my line manager seems to think that we could do something with annoucements in our vectors but has not suggested how!!!! If we could do something with annoucements this would be preferably because of the zero cost aspect but I cannot think how we would do this. Any ideas?

We are currently running with S8720's and CM 3.1.4

you can play announcements through vectors and basically have any wav file played, that's easy enough.

It's when you manually put a caller on hold, you can't choose where in the loop the message starts from.
