I created a menu for a VCD and wanted the links to open the .mpg or .dat files imediatly. The links work ... but I would like to bypass the "what do you want to do with this file" dialog. Can anyone point me in the right way to do this ?

Each PC/user is going to handle this differently. As you know, Windows keeps a file association list that tells it what to do when a file is put into use. On your machine, you may have RealPlayer set up to handle MPEG files. On my machine, I might have some other MPEG player set to handle this same file extension. Everybody's machine is going to be different and not every machine will have these settings specified. There's always a better way...

If its a true VCD, then you can't do anything since the opening of files is associate on a per user basis. If you want more help on VCD and menus check out
