hi there,
i am a bit new to web design.
i am now designing a small website to just
give myself a quick exercise on a couple of
ointeresting things:
1.audio & video online
2.database connection

my question are:
1.how do i play audio(music etc) on my website if i have a folder full of music somewhere in my computer
2.how do i connect my database(in MS Access) to my website

thanks,
bonebonde

Q1 - use a streaming media server. The market leaders are offered by Real Media, Apple (Quicktime), and Windows Server.

Q2 - add your Access database as an ODBC object; program your website (using asp / .Net) to connect to the ODBC data source. You can't do it with plain old HTML; you do need some programming skills.

Neither of these are quick and easy - which is why these answers are very generalised. Hopefully, these will give you a place to start your research.
