I am a member of a forum, where members can place links to images that are stored on our own webspace. These images display as normal on the forum pages, just by pasting a link into the text. Can the same be done with a video file ?
I.E. If i placed a video file in my webspace, how can I get the video to play on the forum web pages ?

Thanks in advance

The forum would have to allow you to embed the HTML into the page to load up the movie clip - which it probably doesn't. You kinda got 2 options:

1) contact that forum's moderator to see if they will allow that
2) convert the movie file into a big animated gif file and post a link to that (should treat it as a linking to a regular image)

Thanks for replying !
I think embedding the HTML is allowed, but, can you give me any pointers on how to convert the clip to an anmated gif ?

Cheers

I've never done it myself, and I'm not sure there's even an easy way to do it (although there probably is). I could go look on google and probably dig something up, but so could you [wink].
