Hi -
I've looked everywhere for a way to do this & I'm beginning to lose hope...
I have a piece of music that I want to use on a page, but I want the last four measures to loop.
I created two sound files, and tried doing this by embedding each one in a movie clip & using TellTarget to call the second file when the first was done, but that doesn't work. :) I've looked at the examples on Tek-Tips, but they all seem to require a button to be pressed, and I need this to happen automatically.
It seems like it should be simple but I don't really know where to begin! Does anyone have any experience with this?
BTW - I've been successful at loading & looping *1* file - but I'd really like to use both.
Thanks!
Marianne

It's awkward trying to synch sounds in Flash ... mostly because if you do it timeline-dependent (i.e. in a movieClip or with tellTarget(), etc.) the music can only be started at any one of 12 (standard) intervals per second. This causes sound to hitch and pop, and it's just pretty awful.

If you play your sounds by making a sound object and attaching the sound to it, I think you can only have one sound attached to that object at once - so stopping the first sound, attaching the second and playing the second might be a tall order for such a short space of time ... but I would reckon that that's the way you should be thinking. _____________________________________________________
