I have a platforms.txt document which pertains to supported platforms for CE9 and within this document it talks about Database Servers. It states Microsoft SQLServer 7 SP4 and Microsoft SQLServer 2000 SP2. When it talks about database servers is this referring to the database that you are reporting off of (via the ODBC data source)? Or is this maybe referring to using Crystal Analysis (OLAP)?

Thanks,
Bessebo

Hi,
It depends - the platforms are listed for both the APS server and the data source ( Reporting) ones
The reporting ones are those that can be accessed by ODBC or Native drivers and are the ones you specify in the report design...
The APS ones are those that hold the critical APS info about your CE environment...

The reason I asked is because we are currently using Seagate Info 7 and implementing Crystal Enterprise 9 and the typical database that we are reporting off of is SQLServer 7 with SP2. I was wondering if I had to upgrade to SP4 to run reports off of that database?
