New to Cognos, will be installing Series 7 soon. Are there any recommendations for where Series 7 components should be installed and operated from. Will eventually be running DecisionStream, Transformer, Alerts/Notification, Query and Impromptu.

The bulk of our raw data hangs off of HP/UX 11.0 and is housed in Oracle 8.1.7.

My question is, should some of these components be spilt up?

Should some of the components run on Windows 2000 versus UNIX?

Have the time to still make these decisions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
