Hi All,
Maybe not exactly the right forum, but I'm not sure where else to ask about this.
I have a customer with a Cisco 2821 IS Router that they're using to connect outside analog lines into their Cisco VoIP. The lines (there are 5) are physically connected to the modules in the back of the 2821. On the router config, those lines are mapped via PLAR to inside extensions. So, for example, they have (111) 555-0000 going to ext. 5555 internally.
The problem is that they recently had someone physically move the 2821 and reconnect the analog cables in the back, probably incorrectly, because when someone calls in from outside on (111) 555-0000, they'll get ext. 5554, not 5555.
Unfortunately, the customer is remote from me and I can't be on site to move the cables around. Is there a way to change the assignment in the router so that the outside lines ring the correct ext.? I have an Avaya background so I'm not used to working on Cisco. I'm a bit confused on how the outside line is mapped to the internal ext. using PLAR.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
CB
