Plantronics HW251N w/ Avaya 9608 - Callers cannot hear me speak

Hello All,

I have Avaya CM system, with 9608 phones.
I have a Plantronics HW251N headset with a A10-16 adapter cable plugged into the back of the Avaya phone.
I can hear callers, but they cannot hear me.
Side note, I have tried multiple headsets of the same model in case one was defective.

Plantronics states that this headset is compatible with 9608 phones.

Any ideas?

wrong cable.. the headset works, the adapter cable in between is Cisco layout..
You need an Avaya HIS cable (from Plantronics)
