Plantronics H81 Headset with M7316e ?

Does anyone know if a Plantronics H81 headset with the A10 adapter plugged in directly to a T7316e, without an amplifier box will work ?

There are compatibility issues with headsets on Avaya branded phones that look to be the same as the Nortel ones. The firmware was changed and they don't work very well.

The Avaya user guide doesn't mention any support for Norstar or even BCM. Just IP office.

I got it working with a different A10 adapter. Did a pin-out continuity check and found a bad contact on the 1st A10. MY phones are all older T7316E from Nortel. THANKS !!

Plantronics changed their quick connect cable a few years ago and it doesn't transfer the voice to the handset when it is disconnected .
