I want to use a Plantronics CT12 Phone for a wireless headset on a ACS 18D Phone. I have plugged into the AUX port and the phone works fine. I need to know how to pickup a call from an on hold position. The headset phone works fine answering the call and the hook flash puts the call on hold and retrieves it ok. What I would like to know is how can I pickup a call on hold that was placed by another station. Lets sat that there is a call on line 3 and it has been placed on hold and I want to get the call. What is the dial sequence to get the call? Also, the phone position has been set to give outside line when I press my off hook switch. Should I program the station to access intercom when I go off hook? I did read on one of the help forums about how to use the Plantronics Phones but I haven't been able to find out where it was.

Change the Auto Line Select of the extension that the CT12 plugs into to Intercom, Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, etc.

When you go off hook (on the CT12 or the Partner phone, you will get the internal Intercom dial tone. Press 9 for an outside line to place a call (on the Partner phone, you can dial 9 or just press a line button)

Now that you have Intercom as the default, to pick up a call, dial 68 and the line number (2-digits). In you example of picking up a call holding on Line 3, dial 6803.

To put a call on hold from your CT12, flash alone doesn't do it. That will just make it start ringing back to you as soon as you press off. And, if someone else needs to pick it up, you don't know what line the call is on. So, press Flash, and then dial your own extension number. This will park the call. To retrieve it, dial 6 and your extension number. Even someone else at a Partner phone can press Intercom and dial 6 and your extension number, to get the call that you parked.
