At the request of customers, Nortel recently started a comprehensive test of a variety of headsets with Nortel IP Phones. Headsets were chosen from two of the leading enterprise headset vendors – GN Netcom (
– and brought into their labs for testing. Both subjective testing and objective testing were performed. For objective testing, a benchmark of ANSI/TIA-810-A-2000 audio performance was used. This objective testing included Frequency Response, Loudness, Volume Control, Noise and Distortion.
