plain text email inbound to note no carriage return

hi All

I am sending a plain text email and embedding my own carriage returns... No matter what I try Lotus notes iqnores the carriage returns and wraps on its own....This makes the data useless.... I cannot figure out why Notes is iqnoring the carriage returns...any idea..
