Placing web on server

I want to place my front page web on the server so more than one person in the office can work on the web. I am getting error messages.

Is there something that needs done to the server before placing a web there?

I am not really interested in a intra-web, I just want several folks in my office to have access to details.

What error are you getting? How are you going about "placing the web" on the server? Are you publishing it to a web server that has the FrontPage server extensions installed?

I placed the unpublished folder on the server. on a windows 98 machine i was getting time out errors. On xp versions of windows all was fine.

I resolved this by editing some strange text out of the web pages.

If I want an INTRA NET that is fully functional DO I Have to do something to the server with frontpage extensions, if so Where do i read up on that?
